We grow a wide range of apples, including many long-time Australian and international household favourites.
Our varieties might all look and taste a bit different, but they all share a few things in common: they’re all grown naturally in the Huon Valley, they’re all certified organic, and they’re all completely delicious.
Harvest: Early-mid March
Available - All-year round
One of the sweetest apples grown anywhere in the world, the Gala is a superb dessert apple, and is excellent in pies, sauces, cakes, as well as enjoyed fresh.
Beloved particularly in New Zealand, our Galas are harvested in February and March and are available all year round from cool storage.
Availability: April - November
The extremely popular Pink Lady is perfect as a snack on its own, but also goes wonderfully with salads, and even when baked—if you can resist eating it fresh.
Developed in Western Australia in the 1980s by J.E.L. Cripps, the Pink Lady was originally a cross of a Lady Williams and a Golden Delicious, much like a Sundowner. As the last variety we harvest, Pink Ladies are only available from a short time from July onwards.
Availability: March - September
Crunchy, sweet and floral, the Fuji is undoubtedly best enjoyed fresh, although it works beautifully in salads and alongside cheeses and nuts. Native to Japan and named in honour of Mount Fuji, the Fuji is a Japanese cross of a Red Delicious and a Ralls Janet. Our Fujis are at their peak from May to July.
